‘Nothing of interest’ – Werder Bremen’s Felix Agu brushes off Premier League links

Despite the fact that Premier League sides retain interest in Werder Bremen wingback Felix Agu, the 25-year-old wishes to remain with his Bundesliga club. Agu allowed the release clause in his current contract to expire this summer. The Nigerian international fancies his chances to continue to thrive under new Werder head coach Horst Steffen.
Agu shall find himself in even greater demand following a serious injury to teammate and fellow wingback Mitchell Weiser. Speaking at a club media roundtable on Thursday, the former Germany U21 international confirmed that he was comfortable serving on both flanks. Agu has nevertheless been training on the right and will probably inherit’s Weiser’s position.
“There hasn’t been anything interesting that made me say, ‘That would be an option for me.’,” Agu said of the transfer rumors cropping up this summer. “Of course, I can’t rule it out, but I’m really not interested in anything else at the moment.”
