Lee Hendrie expects the Southampton goalkeeper to end up at a Premier League club this summer.
Southampton are open to letting goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale leave the club on loan this summer following their relegation to the Championship.
Turkish giants Galatasaray and Scottish Premiership runners-up Rangers are interested in signing the 27-year-old, who wants to ensure that he is playing at a high enough level to be part of Thomas Tuchel's plans ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as per TalkSPORT.
The former Arsenal shot-stopper is the top earner at St Mary's, with a weekly wage in excess of £100,000, but it seems likely that he will depart the south coast following Southampton's disappointing performance in the Premier League last term.
Football Insider reported earlier this summer that the Saints' relegation had activated a £25 million release clause in Ramsdale's contract, which alerted a number of clubs to his potential availability, including West Ham United, Manchester United and Newcastle United.
However, the latest update from talkSPORT suggests that a temporary move away from Southampton could be on the cards, with Galatasaray and Rangers monitoring the situation.
Sky Sports pundit, Lee Hendrie, spoke exclusively to Football League World about the reported interest in Ramsdale, stating that he expects a Premier League club to express an interest and win the race for his signature.
"Aaron Ramsdale is now available on loan, the Saints are saying," Hendrie said.
"Galatasaray and Rangers are reportedly interested. Would Rangers be a good move for him or not?
"Listen, it is a massive football club. There is no doubting that Aaron Ramsdale is a very good goalkeeper. There is no doubt about that, and I do feel that he has got a lot more to offer.
"It would not surprise me if a Premier League club maybe looked to take him, just because he has got the experience, given where he has been and what he has done.
"I think that going up to Scotland might be a bit of a backwards step for him. That is no disrespect to the league. I just think he has got more to offer at this moment in time.
"If you look at the two clubs - Rangers and Galatasaray - Rangers would be the one that I would certainly be looking to pick, but I still think he will end up at a Premier League club. I really do."
If Hendrie's prediction proves to be correct and a Premier League club does join the race to sign Ramsdale this summer, then the goalkeeper could have a decision to make if Galatasaray and Rangers also make offers.
Ramsdale has suffered relegation from the top flight three times already in his career with AFC Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Southampton, so he could be tempted by the idea of competing at the opposite end of the table again in either Turkey or Scotland, especially as he was unable to get his hands on a league title during his time at Arsenal.
The prospect of linking up with a manager he is familiar with at Ibrox could also be a factor in his decision, with former Southampton boss Russell Martin having been appointed Rangers manager this summer.
However, with securing a place in England's World Cup squad seemingly being a priority for the goalkeeper, it would be a real surprise if he does not return to the Premier League should the opportunity arise, and that is clearly what Lee Hendrie expects to be the case.
