Nicola Zalewski has yet to confirm his willingness to join Galatasaray.

Today’s edition of Il Messaggero clarifies the situation: the Polish winger has not yet given the definitive ‘yes’ to the operation that would see him leave Roma for Galatasaray.

After showing interest in the Turkish club’s proposal, Zalewski asked for more time to reflect on this offer.

The newspaper states that the player hasn’t made a decision yet: hecould make it at the last moment, but certainly not later than September 13th, the day the transfer market in Turkey closes.

Initially he seemed attracted by the offer of 2 million per season for three years, the negotiation proceeded quickly, the Istanbul club had also convinced Roma with 10 million euros for the fee. Then, however, Zalewski raised some doubts.

The player could choose to wait for the contract with the Giallorossi to expire, show off during the year and perhaps get a similar contract, but in a club that plays in a more renowned league.

The latest performances with Poland and Lewandowski’s compliments have given him confidence and probably brought him out of the torpor he had fallen into over the last year and a half.

Furthermore, with Daniele De Rossi he returned to being a winger and was started in the debut match against Cagliari in place of Dybala. De Rossi also made him play 45 minutes against Empoli and 28 with Juventus.
