Neymar set for Santos return | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano reports that Santos have reached a verbal agreement to sign Neymar. The 32-year-old has played just seven games for Al-Hilal – scoring one and creating three – since his €90m move from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2013. The Brazilian has missed 65 games for the Saudi club owing to various injuries, the main one being a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee.

But now after a difficult and testing spell in Saudi Arabia, Neymar is set to return to Santos, where he played for their youth team before making his entrance into professional football. After 225 games, 136 goals and 64 assists, Neymar earned a move to Barcelona in 2017 for €88m, per Transfermarkt, where he would play in one of the best frontlines in football alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, before a €222m move to PSG.

Per Romano, Neymar has already said ‘yes’ to a Santos return with formalities expected to be completed this week.
