Newcastle United welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to St James' Park in the Premier League on Wednesday night on the back of an eight-game winning run.
The Magpies were made to work harder than expected at the weekend after they fell behind early on to League Two Bromley in the FA Cup third round. Lewis Miley's belting equaliser steadied any Geordie nerves before they pulled away in the second half.
Sunday's win arrived after they beat Arsenal 2-0 away from home in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final - a triumph to complement five-straight wins in the Premier League. Their remarkable uptick in form has left them with legitimate aspirations of a Champions League return.
Wolves' objectives aren't quite as lucrative during the second half of the season, with Premier League survival their primary goal.
They, too, progressed into the fourth round of the FA Cup after Vitor Pereira named a strong starting XI at Bristol City. Pereira has quickly turned Wolves into a much more watchable team, but they were beaten for the first time under his tutelage by Nottingham Forest last week.
Their position remains precarious towards the drop zone, with Ipswich's recent production leaving them level on points with the West Midlanders.
Here is 90min's guide to Newcastle vs Wolves.

Alexander Isak's absence at the weekend was enforced due to a thigh injury, but Eddie Howe is hopeful that his superstar forward will be fit for Wolves' visit.
Sven Botman, Jacob Murphy and Joe Willock are all carrying knocks, but the trio aren't expected to miss Wednesday's game.
Anthony Gordon was brought on for the second half against Bromley with Harvey Barnes succumbing to a muscle injury, and the former Leicester winger is set for a spell on the sidelines. Barnes joins Jamaal Lascelles, Callum Wilson, Emil Krafth and Nick Pope on the treatment table.
Newcastle predicted lineup vs Wolves (4-3-3): Dubravka; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon.

Wolves will be boosted by the return of star forward Matheus Cunha, who served the second of his two-game suspension at Ashton Gate. The Brazilian will return to Pereira's XI and work in tandem with towering forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.
There could be a Premier League debut for January arrival Emmanuel Agbadou at the heart of Wolves' defence, but he won't be partnered by Craig Dawson or Toti Gomes, who are both out injured.
Nelson Semedo is also likely to miss out with a thigh injury, while Sasa Kalajdzic, Boubacar Traore, Enso Gonzalez and Yerson Mosquera are all sidelined with long-term knee issues.
Wolves predicted lineup vs Newcastle (3-4-2-1): Sa; Doherty, Agbadou, Bueno; R. Gomes, Andre, J. Gomes, Ait-Nouri; Cunha, Hwang; Larsen
Cunha's return is a big boost for the visitors, who missed his ability in front of goal against Forest last Monday. Wolves have emerged as a fearless outfit under Pereira, and they're unlikely to arrive at St James' Park with the intent of claiming a point.
However, an enterprising Wolves will be welcomed by the hosts, who are scoring for fun at the moment. If they're given space to run into, Howe's marvellous front three will take advantage. Their midfield is continuing to perform at an incredibly high level, and Newcastle's defence is reaching a level comparable to their 2022/23 pomp.
This has the makings of a back-and-forth contest with plenty of goals, and the Magpies should continue their excellent run.
