Kieran Trippier says that ‘the reality’ is that Alexander Isak is injured.
The Newcastle United defender saying that it would have been pointless to have taken an injured Isak to the Far East, when he had no chance of playing in the three friendlies.
Kieran Trippier saying that regardless of what may or may not be happening with Alexander Isak, it is all about the team anyway, not individuals.
The former England international stating that if Alexander Isak does ever need a chat, then he will always be available. Trippier has proved an unbelievable signing for United, his own personal contribution on the pitch AND the influence he has on other players, on the pitch and at the training ground.
Whilst the media are predictably claiming all sorts of stuff on a minute by minute basis, in the form of ‘updates’ and ‘exclusives’, Kieran Trippier says he is just looking forward to Alexander Isak shaking off this injury and hopefully playing again for Newcastle United in the very near future.
Kieran Trippier speaking to the Chronicle about Alexander Isak:
“My phone is available 24/7 to Alex…and Alex knows that.
“He knows I am always there.
“We aren’t panicking.
“Alex has got an injury and we have to do what we have to here, focus on the games.
“We focus on the team and the players that are here.
“It’s not just Alex, Martin Dubravka wasn’t here because of a niggle.
“Alex has got a thigh injury, that is the reality.
“Personally, I think there is no point him coming out here if he can’t play in any games.
