‘Never happened before’ – Hansi Flick admits Barcelona star’s attitude ‘is not normal’ | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Friday moved to lavish praise on a leading member of his defensive ranks.

The player in question? Jules Koundé.

Stopper Koundé, for his part, has of course enjoyed a superb individual start to the new campaign.

Continuing to grow into his role at right-back, the Frenchman has seen out every minute of Barcelona’s La Liga term, a crucial figure in the Blaugrana’s charge to the top of the table.

Not only does Koundé remain a rock-solid performer on the defensive side of the ball, but his efforts in possession, too, are improving all the time.

Ahead of Barca’s return to action against Osasuna on Saturday night, the former Sevilla standout, in turn, took his place in front of the media this afternoon.

And, whilst sat alongside his defensive stalwart, manager Hansi Flick made use of the opportunity to hail a player whom he considers as boasting an attitude which is ‘not usual’:

“It’s incredible. This has never happened to me before. After the match he wants to train. He’s a great professional, he takes great care of himself physically . He wants to give his all in every training session. This attitude is not usual, but it’s very good.”
