Napoli Reach Agreement with Bologna to Add Beukema | OneFootball

Napoli will have two new faces as they start preparing for the 2025/2026 season, as they have ironed out every detail to acquire Sam Beukema from Bologna during the weekend. They’ll pay €30M plus €3M add-ons, Corriere dello Sport informs.

The center-back reported to the Felsinei set-up as they began training on Sunday, but only to bid farewell to his teammates. He was acquired for €8M from AZ two years ago. He has accumulated 80 appearances with the Rossoblù. The 26-year-old contributed to a Champions League qualification and a Coppa Italia triumph.

As it happened with Noa Lang, Napoli didn’t interfere with the summer plans of Beukema. He’ll take the medicals on Tuesday or Wednesday. Antonio Conte’s squad will leave for their first retreat in Dimaro on Thursday.

It took him a couple of months to adapt to Serie A, and he’s been brilliant since. They surely needed a top-notch third center-back, both due to the Champions League and because Alessandro Buongiorno had a tough campaign injury-wise. It took them a while and a good chunk of change, but they zeroed in on him a long time ago and got him, which is always nice. He’s a great compromise, as he’s already experienced and established, as Conte likes, but he’s not too old, especially for his role.
