Germany drew 1-1 to Hungary with the two goals coming from Felix Nmecha and Dominik Szoboszlai (penalty).
Julian Nagelsmann made nine changes to the starting eleven for the game, with only Joshua Kimmich and Robert Andrich keeping their places in the starting lineup.
After the game, Nagelsmann said: “To be honest, I don't really want to talk about today's game. I think we can do things better." (ZDF)
He added: “We took too long in the first half to get things together partly especially in the twenty minutes before the break.”
On the controversial penalty, Nagelsmann said: “I spoke to the referee after the game and asked if he also saw the game against Spain (at the Euros). I don't think he understood what I said.”
He added: “I don't think it was a penalty at all. (Robin) Koch turns away from the shot and draws his hands closer to his body.”
Sarcastically, the Germany coach also referenced UEFA's admission of the wrong decision in the Spain game during the Euros coming late as he stated he is looking to see what they'll respond with in “four months”.
Lastly, commenting on the goalkeeping situation and the decision between Oliver Baumann and Alexander Nubel for March's games, Nagelsmann said: “I do have a tendency currently, but won't share it.”
