Harry Kane and Kim Min-Jae are struggling for fitness ahead of Wednesday’s clash between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.

Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They highlight how, even for the players available, fitness is a concern for the Bavarians.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has been working around a slew of major injuries.

The Bavarians are without quite a number of important players. And it could hardly come at a worse time in their season.

Jamal Musiala was out against Inter for last week’s Champions League quarterfinal first leg. And he’ll miss the second leg as well.

Then, injuries to all of Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, and Hiroki Ito have decimated the Bavarians’ defense.

But the injury woes don’t stop there for Bayern coach Kompany.

As the Corriere note, even for a couple of players fit enough to play, there is an evident lack of condition.

Striker Harry Kane and defender Kim Min-Jae both started in last Tuesday’s first leg against Inter. And they also started against Borussia Dortmund in a 2-2 draw this weekend.

But an evident lack of fitness was on display from both.

The normally prolific Kane has not had his usual impact in attack. And Kim, meanwhile, lacked some of his usual physicality against Inter.

And that is a testament to the fact that both of the pair are fighting through the pain to feature.

Kane wants to be on the pitch at all costs. Meanwhile, Bayern can hardly afford to miss Kim considering all the other absences in their backline.
