After their win over Monaco, Inter are getting ready to return to action for their third pre-season friendly. The Nerazzurri will play Monza at the U-Power Stadium, with kick-off at 21:00 CEST and exclusive live coverage on Sportitalia.
The two sides meet again after Inter’s 3-2 victory in last season’s league. For the hosts, this will be their final test before their Coppa Italia match on Sunday, 17 August against Frosinone and their Serie B opener against Mantova. The Nerazzurri will continue their pre-season with a match at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari against Olympiacos on Saturday 16 August, before their Serie A opener against Torino at San Siro on Monday 25 August.
After regrouping at the BPER Training Centre on 26 July, the Nerazzurri began preparations for the 2025/26 Serie A season, which will kick off on Monday, 25 August at San Siro against Torino.
In their first game at home, Chivu’s side beat Inter U23 7-2 thanks to goals from Bonny, Asllani, Lautaro, Esposito, Luis Henrique, Calhanoglu, and an own goal from Kamate. In their second summer friendly against Monaco, the Nerazzurri came out with a positive result despite being one man down, with Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny sealing the win 2–1.
The clash with Monza will be their third pre-season fixture, followed by the meeting with Olympiacos on 16th August, the final step before the league opener.
Tuesday’s match will be Monza’s final friendly of pre-season: the game against Inter will bring Paolo Bianco’s side’s preparations to an end before their Coppa Italia debut on Sunday, 17 August and their Serie B opener on Saturday, 23 August against Mantova.
For the Biancorossi, it will be their sixth pre-season friendly, recording four wins and one defeat so far. Their campaign began with a 4-1 victory over Swiss side Collina d’Oro, followed by a narrow win thanks to Keita against Giana Erminio. Their third friendly against Alcione Milano ended 2–0 with a goal from Maric and a penalty from Pessina, the same result as their fourth friendly against Albinoleffe, determined by goals from Domanico and Ballabio. The only defeat for Bianco’s team came in a friendly against Atalanta: Birindelli opened the scoring, but the Bergamo side came back to win 2-1.
