Current manager of Turkey Vincenzo Montella is back among the primary candidates to take over at Roma next season after his assistant was spotted in the stands.
The Giallorossi have seen their campaign totally transformed by the arrival of Claudio Ranieri, but the veteran has warned he is going to retire in the summer, so the club has to find a replacement.
Montella had already been approached before Ranieri was brought in, but remained committed to his current role with the Turkish football federation.

Now newspaper Leggo suggests he is again the hot favourite after his assistant manager was spotted in the stands for both the Roma games against Juventus and Lazio.
It would be a return to the Stadio Olimpico for Montella, who was a player for the Giallorossi from 1999 to 2007.
He was also the coach of their youth team before having 16 games as caretaker manager to see out the 2010-11 campaign.
The 50-year-old took the Turkey job in September 2023 and has a record of 11 victories, four draws and six defeats, taking them to the EURO 2024 quarter-finals.
