Monaco’s Wilfried Singo attracting Atletico Madrid interest | OneFootball

As reported by L’Équipe, Wilfried Singo (24) will be allowed to leave AS Monaco this summer. The publication has now revealed the identity of one of his suitors – Atletico Madrid.

Singo joined Monaco from Torino for €9m and immediately established himself in the starting XI, featuring at centre-back and at right-back. He has been prominent once again this season, playing 32 games in all competitions. However, L’Équipe understands that the Ivory Coast international will be allowed to leave at the end of the current campaign.

It comes amid an evolution in the Monaco defence. As reported by L’Équipe and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Dier will join Les Monégasques upon the expiry of his contract with Bayern Munich and he is expected to become a key member of the backline.

Atletico Madrid are one of the team interested in signing Singo this summer. The AFCON winner’s contract with the Principality club runs until 2028.
