Fikayo Tomori seemed destined to leave AC Milan this season, and whilst a summer departure may occur, he has seen himself revitalised in recent weeks.

A few years ago, we wrote a piece about how Milan would only be as good as Tomori, and in many respects, its shelf life is still just as strong as it was then. The Rossoneri have been poor this season, and so has Tomori.

However, when the Englishman is at his best, there is a level of comfort within the squad, and Sergio Conceicao has been working out how to find that once again.

In January a move away seemed likely throughout, but the Portuguese campaigned for him to stay. Since then, he has had some very impressive performances, showing stability in the defence that has often been missed this season, with and without his presence.

Milan News, as a result, write that the defender wanted to ‘show his rage’ after the links away, he has matured in recent years but wants to show it further on the pitch, and with Conceicao, he has begun to do this.

We already know that the Portuguese can be somewhat hot-headed, so perhaps, he has shared his secrets to using that rage beneficially. The once ‘lost’ defender is finding himself reborn with Conceicao’s guidance, an example that others can follow, and a credit to Tomori.
