Six Premier League clubs have indicated that they are tracking young Millwall star Ra'ees Bangura-Williams ahead of the summer transfer window.

Standard Sport also understands that the new “long-term” contract he signed at The Den in January runs for two-and-a-half years, until summer 2027, with Millwall retaining an option to extend it by a further year beyond that. Bangura-Williams’s new deal also included a significant pay increase.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder made headlines in January when he showcased outstanding individual skill to assist the opening goal in a 2-2 draw with Cardiff on the occasion of his first Championship start.

Half-a-dozen Premier League clubs have begun scouting Bangura-Williams with an eye to potentially making their move once the summer window opens.

He registered an assist in each of his first three starts in the Championship, as well as featuring in all three of Millwall’s FA Cup matches this season, playing 57 minutes of Saturday’s 3-1 fifth-round defeat at Crystal Palace.

He scored a fantastic individual goal on his Millwall debut against Dagenham & Redbridge in the third round in January.

Bangura-Williams trained with the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham as a youngster, before Millwall signed the midfielder, initially as an academy player, from non-league club Tooting & Mitcham in December 2023 following a successful trial.

In January, Millwall sold 19-year-old Romain Esse, who like Bangura-Williams was also born in Lambeth, for a fee of £14.5million to Palace.
