Serie A giants Milan grabbed a dramatic 3-2 win over Parma but it is what happened after the game that attracted a lot of attention.
The Rossoneri were 2-1 down by the 91st minute but things changed quickly as Tijjani Reijnders equalised and Samuel Chukwueze made it 3-2 in the very last minute.
After the final whistle, Conceicao came rushing towards Calabria and nearly came to blows, before being separated by the club’s staff, as he was seething with rage.
The defender spoke to the press after the game and said, as relayed by MilanNews: “Honestly, these are things that happened on the pitch: a misunderstanding between the two of us, we wanted to play this game.
“The adrenaline was really high and we cleared things up, we didn’t understand one thing about each other. We fixed things: it won’t be the first or the last time you see it. It’s common in football. I also apologize because it’s not a nice thing. The most important thing is the team and having turned the game around.”
The defender has been linked with an exit from the club for months now and his future is uncertain, especially with the arrival of Kyle Walker. He wasn’t impressive against Parma either and La Gazzetta dello Sport have stated that Conceicao was not happy with his presence at Lazza’s concert on Friday.
