AS Monaco is pleased to announce the arrival of Mika Biereth. The Danish forward, who will celebrate his 22nd birthday on February 8, has signed a 5-year contract and is now tied to the Monegasque club until June 30, 2029.
Mika Biereth, currently the top scorer in the Austrian championship with 11 goals in 16 matches, was born in London on February 8, 2003. Of Danish and Bosnian descent, the athletic forward (1.87m) trained at Fulham, where he scored 25 goals and provided 15 assists in 37 matches with the U18 team, before joining Arsenal in 2021 and signing his first professional contract.
With Arsenal’s youth teams, he particularly stood out, notably alongside Folarin Balogun, by scoring 12 goals and delivering 5 assists in over 20 matches for the U21 side. To gain experience, Mika Biereth continued his career on loan in the Netherlands, making his professional debut with RKC Waalwijk (13 matches, 2 goals, 2022-23 season).

He then moved to the Scottish Premiership, again on loan, with Motherwell FC (15 matches, 6 goals, 5 assists in six months), before joining SK Sturm Graz in January 2024 and being permanently transferred there the following summer.
With the Austrian club, the Danish U21 international (6 caps, 1 goal) scored 23 goals and provided 9 assists in 47 matches. Thanks to his sharp finishing and intelligent movement, he played a key role in Sturm Graz’s historic season, helping the team win the Austrian championship for the first time since 2011. The club also claimed the Austrian Cup, achieving a league-and-cup double for only the second time in its history.
During the early months of the 2024-25 season, the forward continued his impressive form, netting 11 goals – leading the league’s scoring chart – including a hat-trick against RB Salzburg, and providing 5 assists in 16 matches. His performances have been instrumental in the success of the “Blackies,” who currently top the league standings.
In parallel, after competing in the Europa Conference League last season (3 goals in 4 matches), Mika Biereth made his Champions League debut this season, making his mark by scoring against Lille OSC and Girona FC.
Mika Biereth will now don the Red and White, wearing the iconic diagonal jersey with the number 14, as he bolsters Monaco’s attacking lineup.
