Metz set to sign Georgian winger Giorgi Tsitaishvili | OneFootball

FC Metz are set to sign Georgian winger Giorgi Tsitaishvili (24), according to Foot Mercato.

Tsitaishvili is a product of the Dynamo Kyiv youth academy and made his first-team debut in May 2018. Since January 2021, he has spent successive loan spells at Vorskla, Chornomorets Odesa, Wisła Kraków, Lech Poznań, Dinamo Batumi, and – most recently – Granada.

Tsitaishvili’s most recent loan spell, in LaLiga2, proved the most fruitful spell of his career to date. In 39 appearances, he scored seven goals and provided four assists.

Tsitaishvili represented Ukraine at youth level before switching to Georgia, for whom he made his senior debut in August 2021. He has since earned 25 caps.

Metz are preparing for life back in Ligue 1 after promotion last season. Tsitaishvili would be their fourth first-team signing of the summer transfer window.

Foot Mercato reports that Tsitaishvili will arrive in Metz in the next few hours ahead of his transfer.
