Mbappe elated after winning Real Madrid Player of the Season award – ‘I feel great’ | OneFootball

Kylian Mbappe has enjoyed a memorable debut season at Real Madrid even though the team failed to win any major trophies.

The French superstar finished as the top scorer in La Liga, winning the Pichichi Trophy and the European Golden Boot.

Mbappe scored 43 goals in 56 matches, playing a role in the team’s UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup triumphs.

Given his exploits, Mbappe has now been voted Real Madrid’s Player of the Season for 2024/25, following which he spoke to the club media expressing his delight.

“It’s a pleasure and a great moment for me. I want to thank all the Real Madrid fans and the people who voted for me. My first season in Spain is proving to be a new experience as a player and as a person,” said Mbappe.

Continuing, he added: “When I arrived, I had to adapt to the team, the country, and a new language and culture. Now I feel great, and it shows on the pitch. I’m very happy at Real Madrid.”

Finally, talking about at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup starting next month, Mbappe insisted that he and Real Madrid are looking forward to the challenge.

“It’ll be the first time we’ve played in a competition like this, and we’re really looking forward to it. It’s a chance to be world champions with the club,” noted Mbappe.

“It’s going to be a great competition in the United States. Everyone will be watching, and we’re going to try to win it,” he concluded.
