Mattia Perin renews until 2027!

It was already in the air, as Mattia himself mentioned in his press conference before the UEFA Champions League match against Stuttgart: “My contract renewal? I am talking with the club and there is a desire to continue on both sides. I am very happy. In the coming days there will be news.”

And that very news has just arrived, right on time: Mattia Perin will continue his adventure with Juventus until 30 June 2027.

It’s a contract renewal that has been made official today – Wednesday, 23 October 2024 - after his man-of-the-match performance on Tuesday against Stuttgart, even saving a penalty, but which unfortunately was not enough to avoid the Club’s first defeat of the season in all competitions.

I don't feel like a second goalkeeper but a co-goalkeeper, and it's the coach and the club that make me feel this way; it's up to us to prove, with our work, that we are all possible starters. On the other hand, if you play a lot, it's right that everyone should be available at all times: among us goalkeepers we push each other every day to improve. I personally feel great, I try to bring a bit of experience and, indeed, passion to everything I do. - Mattia Perin

This is another short extract of what Perin said in his press conference before Tuesday night’s match. Words that are accompanied by the following facts and figures: since the start of the season, he has already taken to the field four times between the league and the Champions League.

Mattia has been a Juventus player since 2018, and except for a one-and-a-half-year interlude - from January 2020 to the summer of 2021 on loan at Genoa - he has always defended our posts with charisma and commitment in the 51 matches in which he has been called upon, but his importance stretches well beyond the pitch.

Since returning to wear our colours for good, he has brought with him - in addition to his undoubted experience and important technical talent - all his charisma. His ‘never-give-up’ attitude fully embodies the Juve spirit.

And for these reasons, and many others, we are thrilled to continue our journey together.
