Asking price dropped for Kone, if he is indeed a target now is the time to pounce. And we all know that Celtic loves a bargain, well this is certainly manna from heaven for the Celtic Board…

As previously discussed on The Celtic Star, Richard Kone is a player who should be in Celtic’s thoughts as we look to add much needed quality to our forward line. As we reported last week, the Ivorian has all the attributes to be a success in Brendan Rodgers side, and he’s a player we should be looking at bringing north of the border.

The Wycombe Wanderers striker has impressed with his performances in league one and has an array of suiters most notably from the English Championship.

Price has dropped from five to three million

Last week it was reported that he carried a £5 million price tag, but reports yesterday claimed that price has been lowered to £3 million, due to his contractual situation, which if true is an absolute bargain and more importantly well within Celtic’s price reach.

With numerous sides including West Brom, Preston North End, Leicester City and Swansea interested in acquiring his signature it’s vital that Celtic moves as soon as possible if he is indeed a player of interest in the eyes of Brendan Rodgers.

I believe Richard Kone is a player who can reach greater heights in the game, but if we don’t move now then it’s quite likely that he will be well out our reach in the not too distant future.
