Manchester United are looking for a win in Ruben Amorim’s first game as head coach when they travel to Ipswich Town in the 4:30pm kick-off.
The 39-year-old was appointed as Erik ten Hag’s successor earlier this month and will be itching to get off to a winning start as United boss. He will face different pressures and responsibilities in the biggest job in football than he experienced at Sporting CP, where he enjoyed lots of success.
United can extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to five matches at Portman Road, but the emphasis will be on securing three points.
Prior to Amorim’s arrival, Ruud van Nistelrooy stood in as caretaker manager and helped stop the rot. The Dutchman was sent on his way last week and there is an entirely new coaching staff leading the first team as a result.
Amorim has had a week to train his players and prepare them to face Ipswich Town. He was expected to implement a 3-4-3 formation which we are going to see against a side managed by former United first-team coach Kieran McKenna.

Andre Onana starts between the post, behind a back three consisting of Jonny Evans, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
The wing back roles will be carried out by Diogo Dalot and Amad Diallo.
In midfield, it will be a pivot of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, while Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho are expected to play behind Marcus Rashford.
Manchester United confirmed XI: Onana; Evans, De Ligt, Mazraoui; Dalot, Amad, Casemiro, Eriksen; Fernandes, Garnacho, Rashford.
