Manchester United omit forward from squad to face Arsenal | OneFootball

Manchester United have not included Rasmus Hojlund in their squad to face Arsenal amid the forward’s uncertain future at Old Trafford.

Hojlund has been told he faces a difficult challenge to earn regular minutes this season following the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

United are keen to offload Hojlund, who has been subject of an approach from AC Milan. There is interest in the Denmark international from several clubs.

Hojlund joined Manchester United from Atalanta in a £72m deal in 2023 and has scored 26 goals in 95 games. However, the 22-year-old netted just four times in the Premier League last season during a difficult second season.

Manchester United have accepted that they will need to take a loss on Hojlund’s ‘book value’ of £45m and are also open to loan approaches.

His omission from the squad to face Arsenal in the club’s season-opener is the latest indication of his standing in Ruben Amorim’s plans.
