Manchester United and Manchester City interested in Lille’s Lucas Chevalier as PSG make inroads | OneFootball

With contract renewal talks with Gianluigi Donnarumma (26) at a dead end, Paris Saint-Germain are making advances on a deal to sign Lille OSC’s Lucas Chevalier (23), Le Parisien understands. However, PSG are not the only interested party.

As exclusively revealed by Get French Football News last month, the ball has been in the player’s camp regarding a renewal. However, the Italian has yet to put pen to paper, leading to increased scepticism of an agreement being reached. Donnarumma’s current deal with Les Parisiens expires at the end of next season. He has two options: extend or leave this summer, so as to avoid him running down his current deal and leaving on a free transfer.

Within this context, PSG have advanced their efforts to sign Chevalier, who has made a move to the Parc des Princes a priority. However, the Frenchman is the subject of interest from elsewhere, notably from the Premier League. As per Le Parisien, Manchester United and Manchester City, both of whom are also interested in Donnarumma, are also intersted in the Lille shotstopper. Aston Villa have also previously been linked.

Chevalier will not come cheap. LOSC have not given up hope of extending his current deal, which expires in 2027, and the price-tag could be as high as €70m.
