Manchester City’s Ederson keen on Al-Ittihad move | OneFootball

Manchester City’s No.1, Ederson (31), is keen on a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Ederson has been a big part of Manchester City’s recent golden age, however, the Brazilian has suffered with form and fitness this season. Collectively, the Cityzens have had a difficult campaign and whilst the club do look set to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League, Pep Guardiola’s side could not compete for the title, whilst they also made an uncharacteristically early exit from this season’s edition of the Champions League.

There is expected to be a squad refresh in the summer and Ederson could be one of the players to leave. The Manchester City goalkeeper’s agent has been in talks with Al-Ittihad’s sporting director, Ramon Planes, for several weeks. The player himself would be keen on the move.

Al-Ittihad’s attempts to sign the player, whose contract expires next summer, comes amid reports that Manchester City are attempting to lure Porto’s No.1, Diogo Costa (25), to the club.
