Omar Marmoush’s blockbuster switch from Eintracht Frankfurt to Manchester City was arguably the biggest transfer of the winter window, as another market slams shut.
The Egyptian international was one of several big-money arrivals into Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad at the midway stage of the season as Txiki Begiristain and his colleagues looked to get their 2025 squad rebuild off to a flying start.
With changes made in the defensive unit and in the attacking line, City left it late but ultimately finalised a move for a much-needed central midfielder with a deal on that front still yet to be announced.
And it would not be a January window without movement on the loan front, as Manchester City officials worked to seal the futures of a number of youth talents while also standing firm on talks with Chelsea over Nico O’Reilly to retain the teenager’s services.
With more big-money City transfer business expected to come during the summer window, with Hugo Viana then in place as the new Director of Football, here is a comprehensive overview of all the deals that took place involving Pep Guardiola’s side this month!
