Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have announced their travelling squad for a four-match tour of the United States this summer.

Manchester City, who will have the opportunity to win six trophies next season, will continue preparations for the new campaign with a four-match tour of the USA, with friendlies scheduled against Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea.

The Sky Blues will compete in expanded editions of both the UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup during the 2024/25 season, alongside bidding to win an unprecedented fifth consecutive Premier League title.

Guardiola’s side will begin their Premier League title defence against Chelsea in mid-August, despite the two English teams meetings at the Ohio Stadium in Columbus for a pre-season friendly on Saturday 3 August.

A clash with Enzo Maresca’s new side will conclude the Blues’ tour of the United States, with Manchester City also playing matches in North Carolina, New York City, and Florida along the east coast.

The Blues begin the tour with a match against Scottish heavyweights Celtic at the Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill on Wednesday 24 July, prior to meeting AC Milan at the Yankee Stadium on Saturday 27 July, and Barcelona at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Wednesday 31 July.

Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Oscar Bobb, Ederson, Rico Lewis and Stefan Ortega are some of the most high-profile names to be involved in the pre-season tour, with a number of City Football Academy stars also being granted an opportunity to feature.

Summer signing Savinho, who completed a move to the Etihad Stadium from sister-club ES Troyes, isn’t expected to be involved in the four-match tour following the forward’s involvement in the Copa America.

The majority of Manchester City players who featured in the Copa America or European Championship this summer are set to miss preparations for the new campaign in the United States.
