One player who continues to be linked with a move to Manchester City is Omar Marmoush. The versatile Eintracht Frankfurt attacker has been the subject of multiple reports in recent days linking the world champions with a move for the Egyptian international. Jan Aage Fjørtoft reported on X that it may take a bid of around €80 million to convince Eintracht Frankfurt to sell Marmoush. Now a new report indicates that City are pushing to sign Marmoush in a £50 million deal. One thing appears certain amongst the speculation. Omar Marmoush is the player Manchester City have set their sights on to sign this month.

Sam Wallace has reported for The Telegraph that the Premier League champions are pushing for a January deal for Omar Marmoush. Furthermore, Wallace reports that will cost around £50 million for them to sign the Egyptian international from Eintracht Frankfurt. Wallace goes on to report that City feel Marmoush can hit the ground running in the Premier League. He adds that Marmoush’s pace and versatility to play in multiple roles up front have formed this belief of Manchester City.

It remains to be seen if Manchester City can sign Omar Marmoush this month. Reports vary on whether or not Eintracht Frankfurt will sell the Egyptian international this month. But what is becoming clear is that City are keen to land Marmoush this month. Alongside his versatility and pace, his eye for goal and creativity would immediately boost Pep Guardiola’s squad. He has scored 18 goals and contributed 12 assists so far this season for Eintracht Frankfurt. If he could bring that form to the Etihad it would be a massive addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad. The prospect of Marmoush potentially playing alongside Erling Haaland is mouth-watering. Marmoush could partner Haaland and give him the rest he needs during the second half of the season. Based on all of this it is clear to see why City would be so eager to sign Marmoush in January.
