Manchester City and Leicester City to kick-off Perth International Football Cup | OneFootball

Manchester City and Leicester City will kick-off the inaugural Perth International Football Cup presented by Ninja in August.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the schedule via an official press release from tournament partners TEG Sport this morning.

It has been confirmed that Gareth Taylor’s Manchester City side will open the tournament with a semi-final fixture against Barclays Women’s Super League rivals Leicester City at HBF Park in Perth on Wednesday 28 August 2024. The match will kick-off at 6.15pm local time.

The other semi-final will see West Ham United face Paris Saint-Germain at the same venue on Thursday 29 August 2024. That fixture will also kick-off at 6.15pm local time.

Perth’s Optus Stadium will host both the final and third-place play-off on Sunday 1 September 2024. The third place play-off will kick-off at 2.05pm and the final will be played at 5.05pm.

Speaking ahead of the inaugural Perth International Football Cup presented by Ninja, Geoff Jones, Group CEO of TEG said “The Perth International Football Cup marks another major milestone for women’s sport.

“On the back of the success of the Women’s World Cup last year, it’s been fantastic to see the growth in popularity for the women’s game. We are also proud to be able to have four strong footballing teams in Manchester City, West Ham United, Leicester City and Paris Saint-Germain in Perth this August.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Tourism Western Australia in hosting these games, which will bring a week of international football to Perth’s major venues and is a fantastic way to see worldwide stars of the game, as well as fan favourites from the Matildas.”

Admission prices for the tournament start from $29.00 for adults and $9.00 for children. Tickets will go on sale at 9am (AWST) on Friday 28 June 2024 from Ticketek.
