France’s national team secured a 2-1 win on Monday night over Belgium in the UEFA Nations League contest. Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani recorded a brace and offered criticism for why his production with Les Bleus doesn’t translate to the club level.

When PSG signed Kolo Muani, it seemed like a great move—adding a talented French player in his prime to the squad. However, things haven’t gone as planned, and the club might be considering cutting its losses.

Despite Gonçalo Ramos being sidelined with injury, manager Luis Enrique has often opted for a false No. 9 instead of Kolo Muani. With Ramos out, many expected this to be the perfect chance for Muani to step up and claim a starting role, but that hasn’t materialized.

Following the win over Belgium, the forward indirectly criticized Enrique for his struggles in his first season and a half with the French giants.

“I’d love to have the same impact in club matches, but it’s up to me to keep working,” Kolo Muani said. “The coach uses me in a different way, and I just need to keep putting in the effort. The coach with the national team trusts me, and I hope the same will be true with the PSG coach.”

In the last few days, Manchester United have reportedly shown a strong interest in signing Kolo Muani, but he isn’t expected to be available in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils could benefit from a more proven and experienced striker, especially considering Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee’s struggles at Old Trafford.
