Manchester United are all set to return to Premier League action when they take on Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Apart from the football on display, fans will also get to catch a glimpse of the first two signings of the Ruben Amorim era, Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu, before the game.

The club will announce both the signings on the pitch before kick-off, akin to the way they had announced deals for Raphael Varane and Rasmus Hojlund in the recent past.

The 18-year-old centre-back became the first signing of the January window with the Red Devils capturing him from Arsenal despite the Gunners’ best attempts at holding on to their prized talent.

Both new signings to be presented in front of a packed Old Trafford

The England U19 international will sport the No 26 shirt, previously adorned by Dean Henderson last season before his eventual transfer to the Eagles.

Despite his young age, Heaven is set to slot straight into the United first-team squad, a major reason why he chose the Red Devils.

He will be eager to catch the head coach’s eye so that he can make his debut for his new club as soon as possible.

Heaven can play as a left centre-back and left-back and United are in need of left-footed defenders and he fits the bill perfectly.

Dorgu had completed his medical on Saturday and signed a five-year contract with the club officially announcing the move on Sunday.

Jersey numbers also revealed

After a long negotiation process, Amorim finally got the wingback of his choice with United beating off competition from Napoli to land the Dane.

The Denmark international will sport the No 13 jersey, previously worn by Lee Grant and has been unused now for over two years.

The Palace game will come too soon for both but it is likely that fans will get to see Dorgu live in action when the 20-time English league champions take on Leicester City in the FA Cup next week.

United are languishing in 12th place in the league standings and hopefully, these two new signings can galvanise the group as Amorim seeks to take them up the table in the second-half of the campaign.
