Manchester United have let go of three attackers in this transfer window and could have lost another if recent reports are anything to go by.
Marcus Rashford has already joined up with Aston Villa on a six-month loan deal while Antony has linked up with Real Betis on a similar contract.
The Mancunian’s loan arrangement includes an option to buy even though the forward wants to join Barcelona. The Brazilian is expected to return to Old Trafford in the summer.
Academy sensation Ethan Wheatley has also departed on a temporary basis, joining League Two side Walsall.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there was serious interest from Italian side Como for Gabriele Biancheri but the Red Devils have turned down their proposal.
“Understand Manchester United have turned down an approach from Italian side Como for 18 year old talent Gabriele Biancheri,” Romano wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Como have been on a spending spree since their promotion to Serie A this season but United gave them short shrift when it came to their deadline day ask for the talented Wales U19 international.
The 18-year-old, who is currently injured, has been on fire for the academy, netting 16 goals in 17 games across all age groups while also registering one assist.
The Welsh star has a hat-trick in the FA Youth Cup, as well as three goals in the UEFA Youth League. His form for the U18s has seen him receive increased game time for the U21s, and he has managed to score twice for them.
As relayed by The Peoples Person, Biancheri’s exploits have “already attracted the interest of Amorim and his coaches” and a call up to first-team training is surely on the cards once he returns from injury.
He signed his first professional deal with the club in September 2023 and United had secured his signature after fighting off interest from quite a few Premier League rivals.
Coaches have tipped him to reach the very top and United fans are very excited to see what he can produce once he does make his senior debut with Amorim crying out for help in attacking areas.
