Man United on the hunt for yet another young talent in France

Manchester United are pursuing yet another young striking talent in France.
The Red Devils have been incredibly proactive in hoovering up talented youngsters since Ineos became minority owners.
Within the last 12 months, United have secured the signings of Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven from Arsenal and both are very much members of the senior squad.
Ruben Amorim’s side have also bought talented teenage full back Diego Leon, who made his debut versus Leeds United on Saturday and Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre.
Ineos don’t seem content though as they have also been recently linked to Angers youngster, Dan Sinate.
Much has been made of the senior side’s pursuit of an elite number nine but it has been reported that United have set their sights on a new talent from the French league.
French outlet L’Equipe report that “Idrissa Gueye is on his way out of FC Metz and being courted by Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.”
The article also states that, “Senegalese striker Idrissa Gueye, 18, is expected to leave FC Metz just a few months after joining from Génération Foot. While his club is currently demanding a hefty fee, several English clubs, including Manchester United and German club Dortmund, are interested in his profile.”
He is said to be one of the most attractive market opportunities and Ligue 1 side FC Metz are already contemplating his departure.
L’Equipe assert that Metz’s management are “reportedly discussing a figure close to €15 million in discussions with various clubs interested in the imposing 1.85m centre-forward, who is under contract until 2029.”
At least ten clubs are said to be keen on the striker such as Southampton, West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Italian club Parma.
Nonetheless, Dortmund are already said to be in discussions with his entourage while the Red Devils have been scouting him for months.
The 18 year old played 22 senior matches in all competitions last season, scoring six goals and providing one assist.
He has also incredibly already made his debut for the Senegalese national team in 2023.
