A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is attracting mounting interest from across the world of football ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Fermín López as the player in question.

Youngster Fermín has of course seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona over recent weeks.

This comes amid a string of contrasting reports regarding the status of the 22-year-old’s future in Catalunya’s capital.

Whilst club and player have publicly insisted that Fermín is not for sale under any circumstances, the delicate financial situation at the Camp Nou have seen rumours persist.

And as alluded to above, should either party ultimately make the call to part ways over the weeks ahead, interest will certainly not be lacking.

As per a report from AS:

‘Manchester United and Chelsea have inquired with his agency in recent months about the 22-year-old’s situation. And, of course, he’s also received calls from Saudi Arabia.’
