There's a sense of normality finally resuming on the sky-blue side of Manchester, with City hunting their fourth-straight win in all competitions.
After securing back-to-back Premier League wins on either side of New Year's Day, City produced a performance and result out of their ruthless vintage at the weekend, dispatching Salford 8-0 in the FA Cup third round.
Saturday's triumph is no major indicator that City will soon be challenging again, but there's no denying that high spirits are starting to return to the Etihad. Pep Guardiola may have a few shiny new toys to play with before the month draws to a close, too.
Up next is a trip to mid-table Brentford team on Tuesday night. Here's how City could line up at the Gtech.

GK: Stefan Ortega - It seems as if Ortega has claimed number one duties with Ederson starting in the cup on Saturday. That used to be the German's job.
RB: Rico Lewis - Kyle Walker may have already played his last game for the club with Guardiola confirming that the veteran defender wants out. Lewis is his successor.
CB: Manuel Akanji - The Swiss defender is an option for Guardiola at right-back, but he'll start centrally for the time being while John Stones and Ruben Dias are out.
CB: Nathan Ake - Guardiola desperately needs Ake to stay fit given City's precarious injury situation at the heart of their defence. The Sky Blues are a better team with the Dutchman in the XI.
LB: Josko Gvardiol - It's been a mixed season for Gvardiol thus far, and he would've enjoyed his breather at the weekend ahead of a busy conclusion to January.
CM: Mateo Kovacic - City are currently bereft of a dominator in defensive transition with Rodri out, so Brentford will fancy their chances on the counter-attack through Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa. Expect Kovacic to whip out a couple of tactical fouls at the base of midfield.
RM: Savinho - The Brazilian is starting to come into his own in a City shirt, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he switched flanks in west London given his recent success down the left.
AM: Kevin De Bruyne - De Bruyne certainly isn't the player he once was, but he'll benefit from having the weekend off heading into Tuesday's game. The Belgian's still capable of unpicking a deep, compact defence, with his ball striking from distance a potential source of goals on Tuesday.
AM: Phil Foden - While De Bruyne supplies the destruction, Foden offers the requisite subtlety and finesse to operate in and around Brentford's deep defensive block. The Englishman scored on his previous Premier League outing.
LM: Jeremy Doku - After recording a brace at the weekend, Doku should retain his place in Guardiola's XI despite Jack Grealish finally breaking his goal drought from the spot.
ST: Erling Haaland - Divin Mubama is unlikely to steal any minutes from Haaland during the second half of the season, but potential new arrival Omar Marmoush might. The Nordic forward was excellent in the reverse fixture, scoring twice after Brentford opened the scoring inside 22 seconds.
