Liverpool travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Monday night in what is Jurgen Klopp's final away game in charge of the Reds.

The trip to Villa Park will be the German's 490th match as Liverpool boss as his legendary spell with the club comes to an end and the Reds are aiming to finish this season on a high. After a torrid spell that saw them drop out of the title race and Europe, the Carabao Cup winners got back on track with a 4-2 victory over Tottenham most recently.

It was an impressive and characteristically high-energy display from Klopp's side, with the likes of Harvey Elliott, Cody Gakpo and the returning Mohamed Salah among those that dazzled. With Aston Villa having made an unsuccessful trip to Greece last Thursday, Liverpool will be hopeful of overrunning them with another all-action performance.

Here is how Klopp could line Liverpool up for the trip to the Midlands.

GK: Alisson - The Brazilian must be getting frustrated with the defenders in front of him. Once again he performed flawlessly against Tottenham and wound up conceding twice.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - The creativity of Alexander-Arnold has been sorely missed when he's been out of the team this season. Those searching 60-yard diagonals are well and truly back, with Aston Villa needing to keep close tabs on him as he steps into midfield.

CB: Jarell Quansah - Klopp implied that the 21-year-old is in slightly better form than Ibrahima Konate during his pre-match press conference, with Quansah having started three of the last four matches.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Linked with a move away from Liverpool in recent weeks, Van Dijk received a much-needed confidence boost by being nominated for Premier League Player of the Season.

LB: Andy Robertson - Remarkably, the left-back now has goals in back-to-back matches, striking against West Ham and Tottenham. He seems to save his efforts for the end of campaigns, but surely he can't make it three in a row, right?

CM: Harvey Elliott - A tremendous goal and a delightful assist stole the show at Anfield against Tottenham and the indefatigable midfielder is a must-start against a tired Villa side.

CM: Wataru Endo - Quietly finding form after a difficult period, it was notable that Liverpool conceded twice to Tottenham once he had left the field of play.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister - The World Cup winner will be among the candidates for Liverpool's Player of the Season after an impressive debut campaign on Merseyside. He provides such excellent balance in the engine room, especially with Endo playing behind him.

RW: Mohamed Salah - After his touchline spat with Klopp and calls from some fans for a summer sale, Salah silenced his doubters with a smart display against Tottenham. He got his name back on the scoresheet with a clever far-post header and proved a nightmare for poor Emerson Royal.

ST: Cody Gakpo - Arguably Liverpool's form player right now, Gakpo has been one of the few shining lights during some dark weeks for the Reds. He also provided a goal and an assist against Spurs as he prepares for a fresh start under compatriot Arne Slot.

LW: Luis Diaz - Another player who can hold his head up high despite poor results over the past month, Diaz's relentless energy is the last thing that Villa will want to face after their midweek excursions.
