This is why he's agreed to a new deal with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. Meanwhile, Liverpool also remain determined to keep Ibrahima Konate, whose contract expires next summer.

On top of that, they are also expected to sign a professional deal with Rio Ngumoha when he turns 17-years-old and becomes eligible to put pen to paper on new terms.

Ngumoha isn't the only promising young talent Liverpool have retained this summer with a new deal. The Reds signed a new deal with Luca Stephenson before he was sent on loan.

Meanwhile, promising defender Wellity Lucky also agreed a new deal to stay at the club and made his debut in pre-season for the first team.

Now the latest Liverpool young talent to reportedly agree a new deal is Kyle Kelly.

That's according to This is Anfield's Jack Lusby writing on X. He claims that Kelly has agreed a new deal with the club after he ended last season with his previous term set to expire.

Lusby also added that Kelly hasn't featured due to injury this season but that he's set to start the campaign with the U21s when he's back fit.

A really energetic and technically gifted footballer, it's nice to see Kelly stay at the club. He's still only 19-years-old and he's been impressive at U21 level after catching the eye with the U18s.

Kelly is very versatile which makes him a useful addition in the squad. He'll turn 20-years-old in October and long-term one would imagine the ultimate goal for Kelly will be to go out on loan and earn more experience at senior level.

He's already earned that experience at international level. Kelly is actually already a fully fledged senior international footballer.

The youngster represents Saint Kitts and Nevis debuting for his nation as an 18-year-old, and has so far made six appearances.

He's the only Liverpool player to feature for the Caribbean nation. But he may not be the only one. Talented Liverpool right-back DJ Esdaile is also eligible to play for Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Esdaile hasn't earned a call-up just yet but perhaps he could follow suit of Kelly in the future.

One thing is clear, Liverpool still have high hopes for the 19-year-old midfielder, which is why they extended his deal. Long-term it's hard to see him making a name for himself in the first team, but he could have a successful career elsewhere.
