Paris Saint-Germain showed interest in Dean Huijsen last summer as they looked to bolster their defense, but the Spanish center-back ended up joining AFC Bournemouth instead. If they revisit that pursuit, they won’t be alone.
Even after bringing in Willian Pacho, the reigning French champions are keen to target another center-back in the upcoming transfer window. With Milan Skriniar’s future uncertain, PSG could be in the market for a younger, high-upside option.
According to an earlier report from CaughtOffside, several top clubs — including Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG — have kept a close eye on the 20-year-old.
Huijsen has impressed early in his Premier League stint and is already being mentioned as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe. If PSG come calling again, they’ll have plenty of competition — and likely a steep price to pay.
Recently, GIVE ME SPORT reported that Bournemouth expect Huijsen’s £50 million release clause to be activated this summer.

Liverpool are pushing hard to sign Huijsen, with SER Deportivos reporting that the newly crowned Premier League champions have already made a firm offer for the defender.
Arne Slot’s side have reportedly submitted a formal proposal, with Huijsen understood to have a £50 million release clause in his Bournemouth contract. Furthermore, the report claims that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have also made official approaches for the Spanish center back.
According to SER Deportivos, Chelsea are currently in the strongest position to land him. The Blues have made signing Huijsen a top priority and are keen to have him in the squad for the Club World Cup.
TEAMtalk shared an update this week on the race to sign Huijsen, with Chelsea and Liverpool emerging as the main contenders for the defender.
Chelsea have put forward a more attractive financial offer and remain confident he’ll choose Enzo Maresca’s side, per the report. Although Liverpool remain in the mix, Huijsen reportedly finds Chelsea’s project more appealing.
