Liverpool are closing in on an incredible front-four. We've never seen the like.
Rewind back to 2017 and we saw something special at Liverpool. Mo Salah had just signed from AS Roma, giving the Reds 'the fab four'.

Salah, Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho. A front-four that looked near-enough unstoppable under Jürgen Klopp.
Coutinho would leave in January but his numbers in that period were insane. 12 goals and eight assists in half a season across the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
Salah, of course, would be an immediate phenomenon and go on to break the Premier League goal record for a 38-game season. Firmino rose to the forefront as an elite False 9 and Mané established himself as one of the best left-sided forwards in world football.
It didn't last long, with Coutinho joining Barcelona for an eye-watering fee. But it was magic.
And Liverpool are ready to do it all over again.
Salah is the only one of the quartet left standing at Anfield, of course. But he’s been joined by a new superstar: Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool broke their transfer record to sign the German playmaker and he’s really the first natural no.10 since Coutinho at the club. With that, the Reds boast an attacking pair for the ages, if all goes to plan.
But they’re not stopping there. Reports in Spain, such as from AS, suggest they’re eyeing up Rodrygo Goes for their left flank if Luis Diaz leaves the club.
He’s be another €100m signing but an incredible one. Rodrygo is one of the most talented forwards around - he’s just wildly misused at Real Madrid.
