Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has this week moved to make clear his appreciation for Real Madrid.

Liverpool, of course, are fresh off securing an impressive result on the continent on Wednesday night.

Despite spending almost the entirety of the clash on the back foot, and requiring a Man of the Match performance on the part of goalkeeper Alisson, the Reds managed to best PSG by a goal to nil in Paris.

As much added to what has been a remarkable campaign on the part of Liverpool to date, which sees them sitting pretty atop the Premier League table, too.

Such endeavours have culminated in many pointing towards the Merseyside club as, across all of Europe, the very best side at present.

As alluded to above, though, one individual of the opinion that such a title belongs to another is Arne Slot.

Speaking during a press conference, Liverpool’s high-flying headmaster admitted:

“The best team in Europe at the moment is still Real Madrid, because they are the current holders (of the Champions League).”
