With the way they have played this season, FC Barcelona and its players have been receiving a lot of recognition and praise from commentators around the world.
The young forward Lamine Yamal has been particularly impressive, and being only 17 years of age, has surprised almost everyone with the level he has shown this year.
As a result, he is already being seen as one of the best players in the world and as one of the candidates for the upcoming Ballon d’Or award.
The latest notable individual to speak highly of the Spanish youngster has been the head coach of the Argentine national team, Lionel Scaloni.
As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Argentine coach appeared in an interview and named Yamal as one of the best three players in the world today:
“I’ll set Messi aside because he’s unique. So I’ll say Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, and Julián Álvarez or Lautaro Martínez as well.”

Former Barcelona players also featured highly on his list when he was asked to name his best eleven in football history. Answering this question, he said:
“Xavi Hernández and Andrés Iniesta as midfielders, and Leo Messi as right winger.”
The rest of the team was made up of Gianluigi Buffon, Cafu, Paolo Maldini, Neybet, Alessandro Nesta, Mauro Silva, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ronaldo Nazario.
Furthermore, Scaloni also picked Lionel Messi as the best player he has played with, sharing the national team with him during the 2006 World Cup.
Most Barcelona fans hold Lionel Scaloni in quite high regard, as it was under him that their beloved legend Lionel Messi won the 2022 World Cup. Now, his praise for Lamine Yamal will further endear him to these fans, but there is no doubt that the Spaniard actually deserves this praise with the performances he has been putting up in the last two years.
