Ligue 2: Ayman Aiki leaves AS Saint-Étienne and joins SC Bastia
Ayman Aiki officially signed a four-year contract with SC Bastia on Thursday, August 14, keeping him at the French Ligue 2 club until 2029. He arrives from AS Saint-Étienne, where he came through the youth academy and made his professional debut.
Having already spent the second half of last season on loan at Bastia, Ayman Aiki impressed the Corsican management with his promising performances. His dynamic style, ability to break through defenses, and natural eye for goal were key assets for Bastia, even though his playing time remained limited due to his youth. This permanent move marks another significant milestone in the career of the Franco-Burkinabé player, who recently made a name for himself with the France U20s.
"I’m very happy to return to Bastia. The club welcomed me warmly last season and I really felt the trust around me. I can’t wait to keep progressing here and help the team achieve its goals," he said after his signing was made official.
With this transfer, Bastia underlines its commitment to youth and player development as the foundation for building a competitive squad. Thanks to his attacking versatility and high potential, Ayman Aiki represents a long-term investment, promising both on-pitch impact and possible future value. Bastia’s supporters can now look forward to watching a talent blossom, eager to shine in the Sporting colors.
