Leverkusen reportedly set to change kit supplier | OneFootball

Although their contract with Castore runs until 2027, double German winners Bayer Leverkusen are apparently looking to change kit suppliers for the 2025/26 season.

That's according to German football magazine Kicker, who reports that the 'Werkself' are set to end their relationship with Castore in favor of New Balance.

According to the report, New Balance beat off competition from Adidas to secure the deal with Bayer 04.

Leverkusen agreed a contract with Castore in February 2022 that runs until 2027. By terminating the contract and signing a new one with New Balance, the club will receive a seven-figure sum in additional income, the report claims.

The new deal with New Balance, which according to Kicker will initially run for five to six years, will bring Bayer Leverkusen between €6 million and €7 million per year. Castore currently pay €2-3 million per year.

According to Kicker, the fact that Leverkusen are able to terminate the contract at all is due to the fact that Castore couldn't cope with the huge increase in demand for shirts last summer.
