The opinions continue to flow into The Mag, as Newcastle United fans debate the various issues regarding our club.
The end of the season getting ever closer.
Newcastle United fans with the latest collection of opinions below.
Plus the odd Liverpool fan…
Contributions are sometimes too brief to make up into a full article and so we have gathered up a number of recent views sent in, (if you would like to send anything in, long or short, regarding Newcastle United, then contribute@themag.co.uk is the place):
Dear Mag,
As a Liverpool fan I have been to all Premier League grounds.
When it comes to the best atmosphere and most likeable fans etc…
1- Newcastle United 2 – Liverpool fc 3 – Arsenal 4- Crystal Palace 5- Nottingham Forest 6 – Wolves 7 – Chelsea
All the rest mega dull and the fans too!
Bottom on the list…
Man City, Southampton, Bournemouth, Ipswich.
All mega graveyards.
Alan Clarke
Dead Mag,
Great to see Eddie Howe back in the dug out and pulling the strings at the training ground.
We have an absolute genius as a manager.
He has been outstanding these past three and a half years and there will be even better to come.
Saving us from certain relegation.
Top four, a Wembley final and Champions League qualification.
Finishing just six points off fifth despite the Tonali suspension and the worst season for injuries that our club has ever experienced.
Now this season, a first trophy in 56 years and hopefully heading for Champions League football again. This despite no new first team players able to be signed these past three transfer windows due to PSR.
Nobody could have done a better job at Newcastle United than what Eddie Howe has done AND continues to do.
JP
Dear Mag,
After reading the Ipswich fans feedback on the Mag after the 3-0 win, one of the comments alluded to the “generic” use of Hey Jude, what he/she doesn’t seem to realise is that since that song was first released (1968 I think) we as a fanbase have always sung GEORDIES and not Hey Jude.
Additionally, as far as I can remember (I’m 74) we’ve always sung Tell me ma me ma, while everybody else was singing Que sera sera. Which brings me on to my main point.
As I said I’m 74 years old and have been watching the Toon probably since I was 11 years old and I always remember the, When the Mags song, but sung like the original Oh When the Saints go marching in, and it had a second verse which went,
“And some are big And some are small And some have only got one leg to stand upon, You better hide all your women When the Mags go marching in.”
Despite my advancing years I’m sure that’s how it went, it always made me laugh.
Anyway, love the journey we’re all on.

Dear Mag,
That Ipswich fan who said we let ourselves down by singing Hey Jude is 100% correct.
I cringe everytime I hear it at our place. We have loads of great songs of our own!
I have written to the club about this and got nowhere.
Dear Mag,
Alexander Isak isn’t going anywhere at this moment, he’s staying put.
Sean Knox
Dear Mag,
I will keep this brief.
Am I the only person who thinks the rumours surrounding Lewis Miley leaving the club is absolutely insane.

Dear Mag,
When are you going to forget about Steve Bruce and Mike Ashley?
These two people shouldn’t even be mentioned, they are from the past.
You’ve moved on big style. You have just won your first trophy in 70 years.
The celebrations on Tyneside looked amazing, enjoy it, but stop looking in the past. Some people like to wallow in pity.
I am not a Newcastle fan, but a football supporters of a close rival club.

Dear Mag,
May 5 2025.
70 years ago TODAY (Cup Final day) I began supporting Newcastle despite being a Londoner
It’s been a battle.
Doesn’t get any easier!!!

Dear Mag,
I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Eddie and the boys.
Whatever happens in these last three matches won’t change the fact that they have already given us an unbelievable season.
