Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane has been tipped to join Tottenham Hotspur and sign a deal until June 2029, according to Sky Sport Switzerland.

His agent, Pini Zahavi, has negotiated a significantly higher financial offer from Spurs after he was informed of interest from Arsenal.

Sane will be available for free at the end of the month if he is unable to agree an extension with the Bundesliga club, and he is likely to leave as negotiations have not gone smoothly.

A return to England appeals to the former Manchester City star as he wants to keep playing at the highest level ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The two-time Premier League winner wants to join a club where he is guaranteed a place in the starting XI.

Tottenham can offer the versatile Sane a starting spot, and he still has plenty to contribute if he joins an English top-flight club despite his age.

The 29-year-old can play on both wings and behind the striker. His pace, crossing, passing, dribbling and finishing would be a big boost for Spurs.

He ended the season with 13 goals and six assists across all competitions.

Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League after suffering 22 defeats, and manager Ange Postecoglou could lose his job this summer.

Brentford counterpart Thomas Frank is the favourite to replace him in the dugout. Spurs have reportedly made direct contact with the Dane and discussed some transfer targets with him.

More talks are expected to take place in the coming days between the club and Zahavi over a move for Sane.
