Leroy Sané reaches verbal agreement for 3-year deal with Galatasaray | OneFootball

Galatasaray have moved ahead of Arsenal and Al-Hilal in the race to sign Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané (29). According to Florian Plettenberg, a full verbal agreement between club and player has been reached. David Ornstein further adds that Sané will sign a three-year contract, worth up to €15m per year.

This comes just hours after it emerged that Sané had rejected Bayern Munich’s latest contract proposal which wasn’t an improved salary, just a different payment structure. The Rekordmeister initially offered €10m plus €5m in bonuses before amending the contract to a fixed €12m salary and a further €3.5m attainable via bonuses, which didn’t meet the player’s demands.

As such, Galatasaray are now closing in on Sané, who isn’t expected to play for Bayern Munich at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup which kicks off on Sunday.

Sané scored 11 goals and provided six assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances last season, his best goalscoring tally in the Bundesliga so far. A move to Galatasaray brings an end to the German’s five-year spell at Bayern, where he scored 61 goals and provided 55 assists in 220 games across all competitions.
