Giovanni Leoni remains on the radar for Liverpool and Inter, but multiple sources insist there have not been direct talks between the Premier League champions and Parma.

The 18-year-old has only 17 Serie A appearances under his belt, where he scored one goal, but already made a big impression on several clubs.

This has prompted the Ducali to set a price tag on the player of at least €40m, which so far nobody has been willing to match.

Inter had been linked for months, but it is no secret that they first need to sell players before bringing in any new arrivals.

Liverpool are therefore a major threat, with several different sources insisting they are keeping a close eye on Leoni.

However, Sportitalia warn there have so far been no direct negotiations between Liverpool and Parma, so any discussions are only at the very earliest stages.

Bournemouth had made more than one offer, but did not reach the requested figure of €40m and instead turned elsewhere.

Milan are not in the running anymore, having instead invested €20m plus bonuses for Genoa centre-back Koni De Winter.
