Leipzig’s sporting director confirms talks with Premier League clubs for Šeško

After Leipzig’s game against Atalanta, the club’s sporting director Marcel Schäfer openly talked about Benjamin Šeško’s transfer saga. Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Manchester United are pushing for the signing of the Slovenian international.

“We won’t go into detail on it, but when I say several clubs have shown strong interest and have made approaches, it’s obvious what has happened.” said Schäfer about their sought-after striker.

Leipzig left out both Benjamin Šeško and Xavi Simons from today’s game. Newcastle send their first offer which is believed to be €75 million plus €5 million add-ons.
