The Professional Footballers Association (PFA) has named a 'Top Six' shortlist for their 2024/25 Championship Players’ Player of the Year award, which includes two players from league winners, Leeds United.

Ao Tanaka enjoyed an outstanding debut campaign in English football and became a fixture of Daniel Farke’s energetic midfield, ending the season with five goals and two assists.

He’s joined in the Top Six by teammate Daniel James, whose standout season saw him net 12 goals and nine assists as a fixture in the Whites’ midfield.

The Leeds duo face tough competition for the award, with Burnley's Josh Brownhill and James Trafford also nominated, in addition to Sheffield United's Gustavo Hamer and Norwich City's Borja Sainz.
