While some clubs set new records for rising debts and losses, Lazio have bucked the trend by posting a profit of over €38m, the best in their history.
The teams are announcing their status at the close of the financial year 2022-23 and many are trying to reduce the disastrous results.
However, Lazio posted a profit of €38.5m after selling players, cutting costs and participating in the Supercoppa Italiana.
It is the most impressive financial year in the Biancocelesti’s history, improving on the €37m set in the 2017-18 campaign.
Calcio e Finanza note that this is one of the biggest profits ever posted by a Serie A club, putting them sixth in the all-time charts.
It was surpassed only by Juventus with €42.6m in 2016-17, Fiorentina on €46.8m in 2021-22 and Atalanta at €51.7m in 2020.
Napoli have both the two best profits in Italian football history, at €66.6m in 2016-17 and €79.7m after winning the Scudetto in 2022-23.
